Subscriptions and usage

Understand your monthly plan, sending allowance and current billing status.

Monthly plans

You pay a fixed monthly price. Each plan includes a service fee and a number of email recipients you can send to that month. Sending less does not reduce the monthly price.

Domain limits

Only domains you own count toward your account’s limit. Access to another owner’s domain as a team member does not use a slot. Sending allowances are shared across your owned domains, not multiplied per domain.

If a downgrade puts you over the domain limit, your existing domains are retained. Upgrade or remove an owned domain before adding another. Sending is automatically approved after domain verification.

Daily sending limits

Daily limits count outbound recipients across all domains you own over a rolling 24-hour window, not a midnight reset. Monthly allowances still apply; unused daily capacity does not increase your monthly allowance.

Operator safety ceilings, suppressions and provider rate limits may further restrict sending. Your Billing usage counters show your account’s current daily and monthly allowances.

How usage is counted

Usage is counted by the number of recipients, not the number of API calls. One email sent to three people uses three sending units. Each recipient counts again on each email, even if you have emailed them before. Incoming email is not included in this sending allowance.

Your monthly allowance is separate from how many emails you can send in a day or a second. Confirm your account’s limits before moving your live email to SendHog.

Allowances are shared across domains you own. Free includes 1,000 recipients per UTC calendar month, with a maximum of 100 in any rolling 24 hours and no credit card. Paid allowances reset at the start of your Stripe subscription period.

Invalid or suppressed requests refused before dispatch use no units. Reserved provider attempts count even if failed or uncertain; reuse the same Idempotency-Key and identical content to inspect an attempt without counting or dispatching it again. If a request times out, check what happened before trying again—you could send a duplicate email.

Manage your subscription

The Billing page shows your current plan, subscription status, usage and period end. Verify your domain for automatic sending approval before subscribing. Plan buttons open Stripe’s hosted checkout, which returns you to dashboard billing. Merely selecting a plan does not charge your card or bypass a sending disable. Automatic upgrades and extra usage charges are not enabled.

Use Manage billing to update payment details, view invoices or cancel at the end of the paid period. An active subscription keeps its allowance until that period ends; incomplete, past-due, unpaid or canceled subscriptions receive the Free allowance. Payment never bypasses domain verification, safety limits or abuse review.

Before sending more email

Verify your domain, confirm sending is enabled and check your account’s limits. Review message results before increasing volume. Only email people you are allowed to contact, and continue honoring unsubscribes and blocked addresses.
