Website analytics and privacy
We use website measurements to improve SendHog’s product pages and documentation. This page describes website analytics, not the processing of messages sent through the email service.
Cloudflare request statistics
Our hosting provider Cloudflare processes requests to deliver and secure the website. Our analytics records page paths, response status, country and coarse region, network/provider, browser/device categories, request protocol and available bot-detection signals. We do not store raw IP addresses, full user-agent strings, precise coordinates or arbitrary URL queries in our analytics dataset. Request counts include automated traffic and are not counts of people. Cloudflare signals may be unavailable or uncertain.
Optional browsing analytics
Only after you accept analytics do we create a random first-party browser identifier (up to 90 days) and session identifier (30 minutes of inactivity). We record pages visited, their order, referrer hostname, permitted campaign identifiers, named button clicks and time before a click. These identifiers are not your email address or customer account, and do not identify you across devices. We do not record screens, keystrokes, form values, email messages or passwords.
Detailed browsing events have a 90-day retention target, with cleanup running daily. Anonymous daily view/click totals have a 13-month retention target. Cloudflare Analytics Engine retains its request data according to its service retention policy. Our internal reports are restricted to SendHog superadmins.
Your choices
Accept and reject are equally available; the site works either way. Your choice is remembered for up to six months. You can withdraw at any time below: this stops future optional collection and clears your browser/session identifiers. Previously recorded events expire under the retention schedule. Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track disable optional analytics.
Optional analytics are off until you choose.
Exclusion applies to this browser and also excludes its page requests from our custom request analytics. You may still appear in Cloudflare’s hosting/security statistics. This preference is stored for up to one year.
Search performance
When connected, Google Search Console supplies aggregate search queries and page performance. We do not link an individual visitor to a Google search phrase. Google may omit queries for privacy.
